Clare Hennessy (former parent) has set up a litter picking group called Whitfield Womblers.
They do monthly litter picks and the next one is this Saturday 10th July.
They meet outside Pure Vibes Ebenezer St, 10.30 and litter pick until 12.
Everybody is welcome including children, although parents/guardians need to be responsible for them.
People can bring grabbers, high vis, gloves, bags although they do have equipment to lend out.
High Peak Borough Council are doing a Pick Fit scheme where you can get equipment and, in return, you get a free family swim or week’s leisure centre pass.
