Next week is Drop Everything and Read Week in school, during which we will be celebrating our school’s love of reading by dropping everything and reading for a few minutes every time the bell is rung in school. This includes all staff as well as the children, from teachers to office staff to mid-day supervisors!
The bell could be rung at any point in the school day, during lessons or at play or lunch time.
Please could you make sure that your child has their reading book with them every day in school next week, to help support our reading event.
Thank you for your support.

Dear parents and carers,
We would like to invite you to some Maths and English drop in sessions so that you can experience how your child learns during these core subject lessons and hopefully get some ideas for how to help your child learn at home. You will be able to sit with your child as they participate in activities in class, and join in with them.
The sessions are as follows:
EYFS
Snowdrop, Bluebell and Buttercup class Autumn activity session- Please see individual class letters.
KS1 classes
Tuesday 19th October 9:10-9:40 Phonics and Reading drop in session
Wednesday 20th October 9:10-9:40 – Maths drop in session
KS2 classes
Tuesday 19th October 9:10-9:40 – Reading drop in session
Wednesday 20th October 9:10-9:40 – Maths (times tables) drop in session – KS2 classes
If you have children in more than one class, you are welcome to drop in to their different classrooms for a few minutes each!
Due to space in the classrooms, please could we ask that only one parent/carer per child attends – thank you for your understanding.
We look forward to seeing you at the drop in sessions and thank you for your support.
Kind regards,
Miss Warburton and Mrs Cox (KS2 and KS1 leaders)

Please see the link below for information about the Bantama School fundraising optional non-uniform day on Wednesday 6th October.
We are raising money for desks and equipment for a school in Bantama and this is a great cause.
We are requesting bringing a £1 voluntary donation and suggesting that pupils could wear colours / patterns from the flag or Ghana (see link below). Please don’t buy any clothes for the event, this is about raising awareness, not spending money.
